Nyack Plaza

In the fall of 2022, the Nyack Pollinator Pathway joined forces with residents and management of the Nyack Plaza Apartments to design and install pollinator gardens throughout their property. For our initial planting in the spring of 2023, with the generous support of Orange & Rockland and the Robert Martin Company, we focused on two areas… the entrance leading up to the Senior Building and a 'blank canvas' area alongside one of their apartment buildings next to the Head Start building on Depew Avenue. The Senior Building garden gets full sun, whereas the other garden is a shady area, so we were able to incorporate a wide variety of native, pollinator-friendly plants that thrive in different conditions. These gardens are flourishing in their first season and will continue providing beauty and ecological benefits for years to come! The Nyack Plaza are now an official ‘stop along the Nyack Pollinator Pathway!’
